Great to see Reggie again. He seems to have gotten more educated about the art of fishing. Most true beginners never use a leader, and Reggie spoke about his catfish rig using 100lb braid with 30lb leader I believe he said. I also had no idea that colder weather is the best time to catch trophy sized catfish. Is that just in the Potomac, or is that a universal bit of fishing knowledge? Air temperatures here in Central FL as if today and the previous month have had unusually cold and windy weather bringing air temps down into the low 40s. For Central Florida, that is cold! And even when we have a clear day with bright sunshine, the air temps aren’t getting higher than the low 70s. Weather like this is more typical in Florida’s coldest months of January and February. I’m wondering if it’s this cold now because of the radical changes in the Northern hemisphere’s jet stream which is making the Central states top to bottom much colder and wetter than normal. And when the cold ends, more flooding will happen in the very same areas that have been flooded over and over all summer long. And for this other areas not used to such high levels of snow, sleet, and rain which will cause those areas to flood. And if there might be anything people can do to lessen these effects caused by the shift in the Earth’s position which is now furthest from the sun and the tilt is in favor of the Southern Hemisphere which also explains why parts orphans Europe and Northern Africa are getting flooded by a years worth of rain in just one day. Sorry about the extra weather info, but for those of us who love to fish, it has and will continue to change the fish behavior and possibly cause how fisherman might be forced to learn a new set of ‘rules’ about fish behavior and that would change how to fish for them. Is anyone else thinking about this, or is it just me?
