Let the police or other authority decide whos in the right. If he owns the land up to the water then fine if he doesnt then he needs to be put in his place. He has no authority to ask for anything like where you parked or name or drivers license or anything. I would be very worried about him knowing any of your info. I would map that place out before going there but certainly he does not own a public waterway. Not sure how old you guys are but if your minors then he has no right talking to you at all. Call the police and tell them some man approached you and is harassing you. Btw you dont get fines for trespassing. You first have to be told by police and the owner is allowed to let you know that you are trespassing and then if you come back for the 2nd time then theres a problem but this guy is on a power trip. Ask hime to produce a land survey of his property. Sry for the long rant but he is a jerk
