Gatlinburg is always a great fall and early winter trip. As long as you spend some time hiking in the SMNP and trout fishing. Be sure to make sure you have the proper fishing license and the required city trout permit. Salmon eggs, Trout Magnets, Roster Tails, and a can of whole corn nuggets is all the bait you need. An ultra light action spinning rod loaded up with 4lb or 6lb his heart-vis line, a small sinker, small hooks, and some BB split shot so do it for tackle. Add a stringer and a good filet knife. Enjoy! - Tennessee Smoky 😊

Lived in Gatlinburg 15 years and am always amazed that so few people know it is CATCH AND RELEASE SEASON! I tried to warn the "fishermen" who loved parading their catch up and down the parkway. Nobody listens! The folks selling the daily permits should inform people!

OK Brant, gonna give you me secret wild trout recipe after living 5 years in Idaho flyfishing. It was my standard creekside breakfast. Take that fresh trout prep as you did here, fill inside with butter Salt and Pepper and Jalapeno, just the skins. Wrap in foil toss in coals, make some scrambled eggs and voila, you can eat the fish with the Jalapeno or pull it and just get the mild bite of the spice. Oh so easy, oh so good,

Ah, just what I needed. Brant in Gatlinburg. This should be fun. Oh oh, it's the Christmas sweater. Wow,, that's a heck of a morning Trout fishing. Never knew the Trout fishing was that good there. Yes, as long as it fishing then it's good. Trout fishing there's also Catfishing up on that area. Lots of KZbinrs catfishing up that way. Salt, Fresh, it's all good. I'm almost finished with my treatments and rehab. Should be able to start fishing again in the 120 very soon. Brant, I'm going Sunday with a guide out in the Everglades around the Miccosukee Truck stop off of 75 between Naples and Miami. Great Large Mouth, Real Nice Peacocks and the usual more than you can count Oscars. Ah, the mountains are a nice break for the land of palms.

I love virility! Especially trout fishing! This video reminds me of fishing for stock rainbows in Susanville California right in the middle of town! Then traveling way up the Susan River to catch wild rainbows and brook trout. There is also Willow Creek, which is known for its wild monstrous brown trout! Average size is about two pounds, but I know people who have caught them up to 10 pounds (though rarely). You should come out to either GA or Alabama and fish the Chattahoochee River in the wintertime to fish for striped bass and hybrid bass! Let me know, and I will be glad to guide you on where to go and what to use!

Great video as usual! To you comment regarding switching things up-personally enjoy seeing the change of scenery. Head back up there in the spring and target smallmouths. I targeted them in and around PF for the first time over Halloween weekend and caught a couple small ones plus a good 2.5-3 pounder. Was a blast and much different than simply targeting trout.

Nice sticker Rainbows!!! The only time I have caught Rainbows even approaching that size was in the mountains of Northern Arizona, in the area around Pinetop. The Brown Trout did get really large...like around 22" ..and really fat! 22" was the largest I ever caught...where we were it was all catch and release...but still...those Brown's really put up a fight! Now days...I would need a flat surface to fish from....my left leg isn't stable enough for me to go climbing around on rocks. Oh...glad to see you using light tackle fishing for those Rainbows!

Plan a Clickbaiterz trip to Cabo San Lucas (San Jose de Cabo) and fish off the 26’ Pangas for Yellowfin tuna, Mahi, Wahoo, and Marlin. These trips are a blast!
