Are you completely satisfied with your 3901 or would you rather got the 4701v?

I guess it depends. I would love a larger tractor. If I was to do it again I would go straight to a mx6000 at the smallest. I don't see much difference in capacity in the 3901 and 4701 to make that jump justifiable.

Thank you for your input on this matter. Been going back and forth with Kubota and John Deere. JD seems to be more expensive also.

@@kennethdozier9003 jd makes a nice product. I'm just not a fan of their loader attachment system. You either have to buy their brand attachments or switch it over to skid steer quick attach system. I like trying to buy implements on the used market. This makes it easier to find what I'm looking for. What you going to use the tractor for?

Basically bush hog type work for now and in a couple years doing hay work. I had read some blogs concerning the engines on the small Kubota tractors, 3901 & 4701. Does the MX6000 have a better stronger engine? I really appreciate your advice.

@kennethdozier9003 the 6000 has a 60 hp motor, and substantially more lift capacity. I was told my a dealer I should have a minimum of 70 hp for doing hay. That's in our future if I can buy some more land. There are guys that do small square hay bales with the 3901 amd 4701. We live on flat land and it might be ok in that situation, but that's alot on a subcompact tractor. I've been looking at used Kubota m4nseries tractorsnin then70hp range. And they have really nice cabs.
