I immediately thought of Rogue from X-Men. Got to love those spicy paranormal books! The Last Bloodcarver looks so beautiful and sounds very interesting. I really enjoyed Mexican Gothic.

My favorites for this month are either Daughter of No Worlds or Emily Wilde's Map of the Otherlands.

Stephen King is my favorite author:) ❤❤. Last month my top read was Rock paper Scissors by Alice Fenney. In June I'm reading Summer themed thrillers. One will be The Villa by Rachel Hawkins ❤❤

I really enjoyed Mexican Gothic but it took awhile for me to get into it. It was worth it though! You put Uprooted on my radar. It sounds interesting! ❤

“He was a butthead in life, and he’s still a butthead.” 😂 I love it! Sorry the Dark Tower is ending didn’t work for you. You’re definitely not alone Kris. 😊

That’s a very thiccc SK book. I am going for his earlier books that are smaller so I don’t get turned off by the length.

I had fun with the Shatter Me series but I can totally see why someone wouldn't. The questions you asked gets answered but it just leads to more questions because the world building is very flimsy, like something a 10 year old would think up after watching X Men. That being said, the drama between the three characters is fun. But, if you didn't like the first one, you won't like the rest of the series, and there better YA series out there

"Like something a 10 year old would think up after watching X Men" 🤣🤣🤣 That actually made me laugh out loud lol. Maybe if I find the other books on sale or 2nd hand, I would consider reading more

I have never heard of Virgin Earth! This series sounds so interesting. It’s hard when the characters don’t learn much though and it’s depressing. Butthead! 😅I haven’t read Uprooted yet, but I loved Spinning Silver.

I really need to add Spinning Silver to my TBR... I think you've recommended that one to me before? A bunch of people have so I may be mis-remembering that 😅

@@krisreviews I did recommend it to you. It would be a great winter read. Or if it’s over 100 degrees where you are like it is here, you could read it now and have cooling thoughts. 😆
