Skunk Anansie changed my life - I used to live down the road from Skin and play at the local playcenter with her kids, her and my mum and a few other radical bald black women really helped a generation of humans understand where their rage was coming from... I never got my A levels either - took me 15 years to build up the confidence to find a degree...! Being a rock star came naturally though ;)
