I love that you are sharing this. I have bipolar disorder type 2 as well and I love people who are willing to share their story. I did want to clarify the difference between bipolar 1 and bipolar 2 tho. People with type 1 will have full manic episodes, which are what we typically see characterized on TV. People with bipolar 2 do not have full mania, they have episodes of hypomania which is not quite as elevated as full mania. Both experience bipolar depression but in type 2, it tends to last longer than in type 1. People with type 2 are often misdiagnosed more often and are typically diagnosed with major depressive disorder. For a lot of people with type 2, the hypomanic episodes are unrecognized and can look like times of incredible productivity. I was not diagnosed at 43 years old but have probably been dealing with it since I was a teenager. My son has type 1 and our experiences are very different. Again, thank you for talking about it on your platform ❤ #bipolardisodertype2 #mentalhealthawareness 💚 #themoreyouknow

I see this as huge growth and something I aspire to be able to do one day. Look back and reminisce but admit mistakes and move on and both be happy. This was like mom and dad being happy post divorce ❤

My husband has Bipolar Disorder II and Borderline Personality Disorder and has mental breakdowns and episodes and refuses to take meds... but he controls them now and is so much better. Sadly, meds make him act worse...so, I guess it isn't for everyone. It's interesting to see this about Iliana. I remember watching Tim for 15 years or so and seeing them dating, and I was so excited about them, and now I'm happy with him and Chia....crazy how times change and they get along now. Tim has matured so much. I love you Tim!

The honesty and openness is appreciated. It takes a lot of courage to share…
