Greay video. Would you mind reviewing that second combo you are using. The GLF with the curado, and the tranx 150 on that rod, looks like a great combo.

Great video as always I’m coming to the plantation in mid December going out with a guide one day for inshore and bringing my xpress bass boat with me for the rest of the week. Do you guide for the plantation?

How do you feel about bass rods for inshore use? I have both and I feel like the actions are very similar.
@flatsclasscharters Жыл бұрын
Thomas could not agree more with you. I’ve always been a proponent of bass actions for inshore fishing!
@TexanTrout Жыл бұрын
In my opinion, bass fishing rods are designed to crank heavy fish out of thick cover, cover that is not nearly as thick or sometimes not present at all when it comes to inshore fishing. As a result, accurately casting lighter lures such as the common 1/4oz paddletail jig will be more difficult, as the common weights for bass fishing lures is typically 3/8oz-5/8oz and above. Bass have thick mouths, and you're a lot less likely to tear their lips than you would a speckled trout. A Medium-Heavy Fast action rod is not the best choice for lures that have treble hooks.

the titlle says "wintertime bass" was that the intention of this trip or just part of the days catch? got it moving away from the weather...nothing worse than fog
@flatsclasscharters Жыл бұрын
Doug to be honest I believed that fog was over for the day when it burned off. But when wind swapped… I felt way more comfortable moving back towards the ramp and plucking a few bass out of the canals. It just happened to be wintertime. Appreciate your feedback

I have a young cameraman learning the craft on this project. He’s going to be more pragmatic as we work together more. But until then… there might be some more Speilberg moments 😎
