How do you increase the font size or label an object so that when you zoom out you can still see where it is in relation to the constellation? I've seen many videos that do this but can't seem to find a font increase or label feature. What would you advise? Thank you!

great video. so im curious - when a new comet is discovered, who creates that downloadable file with all the data of its orbital elements, and how accurate this data is?

Stellarium has a very huge fan base, so updated are made every other day. The accuracy will probably depend on public survey data from real scientists working at NASA ESA etc. Cheers!

Is there a way to change the time to read different that UTC? Also, going over adding a Lens to the 3rd tool bar would have been nice.

For me, Stellarium always states the time of the entered location. I think this is quite legit, because it doesn't make a lot of sense to view the sky on the location of A with the time of B ;-)

@@catchingphotons well, mainly for planning time-lapse so I can tell where sun or moon movement will be, ahead of time, maybe days ahead of actual shooting time.

Hi Chris, thank you for the video. I have one question, i use eyepiece projection method to take picture of moon, with my canon eos 600d dslr camera, eyepiece with known focal length, and telescope known focal length, can I use stellarium to estimate the frame can fit moon or not? Thank you.
@catchingphotons3 жыл бұрын
Hey Hoaithanh. No that's not possible. For one reason: You can achieve focus on different positions. Only requirement: The two lens systems (camera & eye-piece) must be in such places that focus is achieved on the sensor. But altering the two of them will alter the apparent magnification. The developer states: treaves (treaves) wrote on 2012-12-05: #3 This feature will not be implemented, as it can not, in any meaningfull way. With eyepiece projection, you'd need to know all kinds of stuff to get this correct, like distance from the eyepiece to the focal plane of the camera, the lens info, etc. Don't use eyepiece projection. If you have a fixed-lens camera, this isn't the plugin for you. bugs.launchpad.net/stellarium/+bug/1086176 Clear skies!!
