Fantastic. Thank God for Dave Harrell having the determination to push forward with his dream in the first place Lets have even more sponsors on board. That can enable this competition to double in size over the coming years. Congratulations to Mr. Cannon for a great victory..

Fabulous win Paul, lesson to us all on setting up less kit... and for the people who think they can't compete with these top anglers, don't worry. Yes I got battered on my three attempts to qualify, but I loved it, met some great people, fished next to James when he won the qualifier on the Wye (he was very friendly and helpful). l will be back next year for as many as I can. Best fishing matches I've ever done, fished rivers I've been meaning to fish for years. Brilliant experience.

Have to echo what a earlier comment said regarding the guy singing that barbel into his keepnet, poor advert, I hope Dave Harrell had a word with him regarding his conduct.

The bloke that caught the barbel and just chucked it in the net definitely needs to look at his fish care!! I'm not a barbel angler I'm a matchman, and all fish deserve to be treated better than that

Love Wayne Swinscoe's comment - 'even after 40 years of fishing the river, catching 20 pound of roach is brilliant'. Top man.

dont no who the man was catching that barbel no fish care ,straight out landing net then launched down his keep net shocking
@laurieharper15263 жыл бұрын
Tbf, the quicker you get them back into the water, the better.
@andrewbainbridge39723 жыл бұрын
@@laurieharper1526 not in my experience barble should be rested once in the net that fish could of sat belly up in that net
@laurieharper15263 жыл бұрын
@@andrewbainbridge3972 Of course you need to get them back into the water asap.. They cannot absorb oxygen into their gills out of the water.
@andrewbainbridge39723 жыл бұрын
@@laurieharper1526 yes but his idea was just throw it in the net, and also catching that on match gear the barble most likely would of been exhausted even with proper barbel gear they get exhausted match man need to just think about the fish and not the money a bit

good to watch..shame about monotonous music !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not being in the match scene for many years, I watch these videos, and wonder how the rules have changed !!.. In my day, we could not break the water before the all in, either to mix groundbait, or to put in keenets. Tackle was only allowed on dry land ,, no putting seats out in the water, or standing in the water.. and what happened to the nets of 6 oz to 10oz roach nets on caster that used to win,

I wonder where the sport will be in another 30 years?

Crap music, why do we have to have such monotonous noise, would preferred to listen to the wind n rain than than someone practicing on some electrical device 😈

I would of liked to watch this but the music is absolutely dire. Who on earth edited and put that music to it, it’s like listening to screaming cats, terrible.
