Thank you very much ADC for sharing these eps with all of us. Very much appreciated for your time and effort. It only took me from may 2017 until 31st july 2023 to see all of these TVS episodes as i watched series 1-6 in spring summer of 2017, then life just happened, and it was'nt until 6 weeks ago i got time to finish series 7-9!! I finally got there lollll! And enjoyed catchphrase very much, i like your channel real interesting videos too your adverts are fun blasts from the lovely past. Cheers. Susan xoxo.

Thanks, it took a while for me to get them all up and I have still not found the missing tape with some other episodes on. I'm so glad i recorded them, I missed most of the celebrity ones as they did not show them in series on the Family Channel and it was only years later I saw a trailer saying that there was a weekend of celebrity episodes. So glad you got to enjoy them. TV from the past is so much better. Thanks again for your comments I appreciate that.

Finally watched all of the pre-Carlton episodes available. Took a while with a few breaks needed, but made it! The last appearance of the somehow mesmerising (to me) pyramid style lights, which had first appeared way back in the pre-UK US version and lasted all 9 series of the pre-Carlton years. Remember as a 6 year old seeing those lights one last time in late 1994, only for the show to receive it's complete graphical revamp for Series 10 the very next week, and me being amazed at how good the new graphics were, but also sad my favourite lights were now gone from this show...

The production year being 1991 and the broadcast year being as late as 1994 fascinates me. Can anyone shed light on the exact circumstances? I'm taking an educated guess that the knowledge of the loss of the TVS franchise in late 1991 was ultimately the cause, but I'm wondering why it halted broadcast of the recorded series in 1992 and how it eventually aired under a deal with Meridian to provide it to the ITV network. The continuity announcement at the end about how a new series would air later in the year is also interesting, because according to Wikipedia the new Carlton series aired exactly a week after. I'm just keen to know more about exactly what the deal was with this being aired so long after it was recorded.
