Johannes and I moved to Florence, Italy for a few months. I take you along with the move and our first two days here in Florence. It really is a dream come true and I'm excited to share all the exciting things we experience here.

My ex husband is italian. I like Lavazza Crema e Gusto. The ground coffee always in the fridge. I think for you it must be very strong. Do not wash the Moka with soap, only with water.

Greetings from a fellow florentine :D Conad is a very common supermarket chain, their products are cheap but not the most amazing quality. Also mokas usually need to be used quite a few times before being able to make proper and good espresso. It has to "warm up". Not a lot of people drink their espresso completely sugarfree, try adding half a spoon to your cup, it will taste x1000 better!

I was wondering, did you learn any Italian before deciding to move for few months to Italy? Did you prepare yourself for the culture? If you’re not a coffee drinker you wouldn’t like espresso. Sugar is needed in an espresso. Before renting the apartment, did you investigate the location? You should take note that restaurants near the main center are always going to be a little more expensive than the outskirts of the area. Maybe you should try cappuccino first!

So is it costly living/renting in Florence? Do you speak Italian? Do you guys work remotely so that you don't have to worry about finding jobs there? What's your mode of transportation? It'd be nice if you would cover this info in your vid.

we are renting in Florence and it cost us about 600€ all together per person. We don't speak italian. and I work remote :) In italy we walked everywhere, sometimes we took the local bus, which is very affordable :)

I presume you need to apply for "Permesso Di Soggiorno" if you decided to live in Florence for a few months ?

hahahha no, but I know most mut quite a lot of sugar in their espresso :D

@@CatchyCravings it seems that type is more intense and flauvored by the description "deciso e intenso". I reccomend u to take when it written Caffè espresso classico. You should try to grab a coffee to a bar you feel the right taste of a classic espresso. And try Macchiato, i think you ll appreciate it.

My yard is more exciting than Florence. Lots of space, a forest in the back, wild life, deer, birds, foxes, cardinals, woodpeckers, 14 trees we just planted. And I do not live in an old, ugly, cramped building like people in Florence or for that matter, Europe. Glad my relatives moved from Florence to America. I am third generation Italian American.
