Yeah, no. lol Cate gives the best performance of the year imo, but the movie itself is phenomenal in pretty much every aspect, including the screenplay.

If something this film is not is realistic…its a caricature about orchestra work and conductors. But people who have never seen ANY orchestra rehearsal say: oh, this film is so real, so realistic!! A star conductor conducts also orchestras in another liga then the Dresdner Philharmonie…but thats another subject. We dont want to get into it now… Fellini did a film about orchestra rehearsals already. Also terrible. But people said: oh, thats exactly like an orchestra works, so realistic…. Guys, try to see real orchestra rehearsals if you get the time… you will see this film with other eyes….

No disrespect but it was not a movie about orchestra rehearsals, nor was it a documentary about them either. If you wanted that you should search KZbin there are so many videos of great conductors giving master classes
