+Tomek Cezet I actually love Winslet more... but I think they're not supposed to be in the same league... they have very distinct ways of acting... the thing that always draw my attention and love to Winslet was her spark, her fire, in the way she acting... and Blanchett, (I so love her so, so much... she is at my top 5, for sure) is exactly her method... how she study, and learn, her character... she is not like Winlset, at all, and I think that's what make them both so spectacular at what they do... both of them find their own particular way of acting, and it works wonderfully for them, opposite as they are. When I watch the video ( and I've watched it several times :) I can see Kate Winslet and 7 other portrayals that are so unique, diverse, so perfectly calibrated that seem impossible to be played by the same actress. She transcends all the standards and raises the bar continuously so very high. But you have said something very important too - it's not about a competition, it's not a race. They have both delivered excellent performances out of sheer love for art. And this is what we should salute them for :)
