Michelle's job is to be the "mean" judge, and we don't see her full critiques, just the snippets they use to build a narrative.

So Ru and Michelle have professional makeup artists (i stress the S in artistsss) who do their makeup and then hair artistsssss who do their hair and then stylistssssss who dress them and then they go and judge people on their hair , their makeup and their outfits and teach them how to do things !
