I'm digging what these models are about. One is able to wring out the machine on public roads without hitting insane speeds. They're in a sweet spot of just fast enough. And yeah, that lightness. :-)

I own a Caterham 275 and regularly go to drive with 160s as well as 485s. To everyone who thinks this is underpowered: I can assure you it is not. On country roads, where it is at home, it will make street cars thrice as powerful look pretty lame in comparison. Drive this little toy around just _one_ corner, and you will know what I mean.

Just curious for those who have driven one (including the 160), but how does the deceleration compare to a four-cylinder when shifting to a lower gear?

Caterham are common fare compared to seeing an AZ-1. Around £15k would secure you a decent one too. ...or maybe a Honda S660 for a modern interpretation of the AZ1 for £15k? Makes the £25k Caterham seem rather pricey.

Frankly, if the Swiss agent was charging what everyone else is paying for them in Europe, I would have bought one right away. But he actually believes no can can use the net to discover just how much less they could be getting them for. I really think he is penalizing Caterham's potential in what is in effect a very small market, but with an average monthly income of over 5,000 Pounds a month, & a serious love of sports cars. Please relay this to the BIG BOSS at Caterham. Thank you :)

Very Nice! 'm retired and I've lusted after a Caterham most of my adult life and this would have fit the bill nicely. Unfortunately, I've made a deal with myself that I will never buy another internal combustion car. I'm not interested in your full body EV but I'll queue up for the EV Seven when you go into production. I'm pleased that a company like you guys are here.

Ford are stopping production of the 1.6 Sigma Engine so Caterham can't use them any more in the existing 270 and 310 models. I believe they're going to relaunch both models with detuned 2.0 Duratec engines fairly soon.

Ah! Good to know. I was in the process of buying a 275 in Portugal. The available models at the moment were the 1600 super seven, the 275, the 485 and the 485 CSR. Now, the super seven and the 275 are gone and the 170 walked in. The 170 doesn’t appeal to me and the 485 would be wasted on me. And the price of the beast is terrifying. This lad is gonna wait, then. Thanks mate.
