Nice one James. The Westermann half doors (and matching tonneau if you can find one) are brilliant. I've had them on my car for over 15 years and they're just brilliant with an aero. The way they tuck behind the scuttle was also a selling point for me. The rear edges of mine tuck between the rear wing piping and the skin and my popper bases screw into the car through the half doors (they're a permanent feature on my car). With the tonneau as well you feel nice and enclosed, similar to a single seater.

Hey thanks for the comment. I didnt know there was a matching tonneau. I'll have to keep a look out for one of those. If you've not seen it already check out my video can I daily aero. I really like the westermann half doors and I'm so glad I bought them over others.

Hi James, great video, I’ve recently been driving with full windscreen and no doors and the swirling air inside the car can just be a bit much on a longer journey, I think this could be the solution I’m looking for. Aside from helmet lift reduction, do you notice a generally more stable environment inside wind wise? Also, would you be able to clip the door on from the inside once seated? I hate stepping on my seat and tend to go feet straight on the floor then lever myself in which wouldn’t be possible with the door in situ. Love the channel, keep the videos coming!

Hey thanks that's very kind. I don't know how people drive with the windscreen and no doors. I've only done it once and found it unbearable from around 60mph. Using aero is alot more stable. You can't use the full doors with aero so you would have to fit half doors. It would be possible to step over half doors straight to the floor if your legs are long enough. Depending on how you fit the half doors you could take them off, get in and then popper the half doors on.

Great video! Do you use an anti-corrosion spray after drilling a hole in your bodywork? I recently had to drill a few new holes in my floor when fitting a new seat and thought it best.

@@ACaterhamCalledFern I used to have a Tillett seat on the passenger side. I switched it out for a new cloth seat from CC. My regular passenger is much happier!

@benjamin_meyer that's good. Seats are very personal. The leather seats hurt my back even though they look comfy. For me tillets are really comfy.

Which ones did you go for please James? GRP or Carbon, and how much was the import tax. Definitely go green too 👍

Thanks GRP as they were cheaper and I knew I would paint them. If money wasn't an issue I would have gone for the carbon half doors. The GRP ones are so light I wonder how much lighter the carbon ones are. I think it was around £75 import tax for the GRP. It's the first time I've paid import tax for ages. You could always email westermann to see how much the import tax will be. I'm really impressed with the weatermann half doors. Did you like the sneak peek video? Thanks yes I'm leaning more towards green.

wait a minute. I was bout to say the half doors should be the same colour as the wheels, but you have different colour wheels front and back!? But I think white is would fit, because your role bar, the lines and "caterham" on the side of the car are white. And if all the wheel will be white, you will have a nice green-white colour scheme.

Yes good spot. I will explain in the next video why I had those wheels on. Also don't worry all wheels will be white. I'm leaning towards green, but white is a possibility. I do have some white wrap so I might give that a try.
