Caterham Seven 620R Brands Hatch GP Circuit Hot Laps

My brother and I enjoying hot laps of Brands Hatch GP Circuit - Soo much more torque and constant power than our Duratec and K Series R500!

...As the 2nd passenger on laps 3 and 4 (in the silver helmet) - I can confirm this Caterham re-defines rapid and pretty much unbeatable in its class. Its a great product and the sequential box is fantastic on track. No this video is not sped-up, and in fact in real life sitting in the car it feels about twice as fast again as it looks in this clip. Its an amazing vehicle, so much so:- anyone serious about performance cars needs to have at least a passenger ride to re-calibrate what they consider is a "fast road car" these days! If you like a pure driving experience do not splash out on a German GT car until you've tried a 620R (unless of course you can afford both). To those who frequent the motorcycle world: - it feels a bit like being pillion on an S1000RR, except the Caterham has 4 wheels and hardly needs to slow down for corners :)

Lucky you ! I would buy one if I could afford it. Always loved Caterham. True sportscar lovers with BMW and Mercedes (you know : the 500 HP cars) and all the electric help AND all the luxury . . . I don't buy their stories. If they have to shift gears manually, they complain. Oh, there 's one driver I would believe in : Lotus Elise.

I'm a german engineer working for the automotive industrie and guess what? Dream car list: Track (don't know which I like most, cause I sadly have not driven one of them...) - BAC Mono - Radical RXC - Caterham 620R - Radical SR3 SL - Caterham SP/300R Off-Road (there is no choice!) - Land Rover Defender For a daily car I'm driving an old BMW E36 325i Coupé and my next car will be a BMW E36 328i, cause I like old cars much more than the new Playstation-, cellphone-, internet-, electrified-, safety-, only button pushing-cars. To have fun on a track or in the dirt I prefer a car made in England! ;) So for the first step I plan to buy a 485R, cause none of the so called sports cars made in Germany are really sports cars. They are just cars for very rich people, who believe they can drive, when they fast on a straight line (Autobahn). Greets from Germany and many thanks for all the real sports and off-road cars! :D

Klar der neie AMG GT R is ne 7.10 auf der Nordschleife gefahren. Alles keine Sport Autos. Ich verstehe was du sagen willst, diese Autos haben alle dieses "Lotus" Konzept was super fun ist. Aber den großen Herstellern geht es um die Rundenzeiten und darum die Autos nah am GT 3 Fahrzeug zu vermarkten... Und angesehen davon , so ein AMG oder andere sind nicht nur Track Cars sondern vielmehr. Diese Caterhams sind einfach nur Blech , Motor und Reifen (um es übertrieben auszudrücken). Fafür 50 Tausend Pfund zahlen?? Offroad also nur der Defender? Hört sich an als ob du ein England Liebhber wärst. Die G Klasse finde ich superior. Oder Sondermodelle wie den G 500 4x4^2

The fact about the 620R is that you spend most of the time behind other cars waiting for a safe place to overtake.. Because after that it's so fast, it takes no time at all to get to the next car

You are all correct in some way! This girl had come out in the car with me during the morning, she only got 1 lap in the car (there was a long queue of willing victims at that point) and every single corner I got traffic, so couldn't push. This onboard video stint was right at the end of the day, the girl came back and had already said that I could drive really fast. We had a pretty clear track and so I was able to push :-D There are plenty of onboard vids on my channel if you liked this one!
