I’ve been working with odd rhythms in my sequences as well and it’s really opened up a whole new universe in the minimal frame work. Also using odd phrasing in even time signatures (5 + 3, 9 + 7, 7 + 5 + 4, etc) has been lots of fun and creates some unexpected results :) thx for the inspiration.

Quando si dice che la tecnica non è scienza e non è arte si dice il vero, poiché l'ottusa mentalità analitica commette un errore prometeico quando pretende di ridurre la musica ad una mera rappresentazione dei processi cognitivi coinvolti nella sua elaborazione - come se fosse possibile rintracciare l'imo da cui scaturisce un'idea che poi indosserà il suo proprio vestito nel camerino dell'immaginazione, come se Euterpe avesse affidato ai musicisti un compito così profano come questo, come se questa fosse musica.
