The Daughter-Dad team at HawkinsRails.net spent a foggy February morning chasing two turns of freight service on the Madison Division of Georgia shortline-hauler CaterParrott Railnet. Team Hawkins caught the southbound local near the village of Shady Dale, Georgia. After dropping outbounds for the Norfolk Southern, and picking up inbounds for online customers, HawkinsRails chased the northbound local from the interchange in Machen through Godfrey to Madison, Georgia. The route was once the Athens line of the Central of Georgia Railway. In charge of that day's hauling was CaterParrott #7003, a deep blue GP40 built in 1966 for the Denver, Rio Grande & Western. Video was shot by Ella Hawkins; stills from the ground and from the air were shot by Ralph Hawkins, who edited the video.
