Really don't understand why they are trucking such a short distance. Lots of lost time waiting just for the truck. Might be slightly slower to run the loader exclusively, but you save the truck and operator.

They only loaded stuff from that place for my benefit Saved me having to go down into the bottom of the quarry where they usually bring the material from. I think the stockpile you see them loading from is just a back up pile if they need to get some stuff into the crusher fast.

⚠️NO!⚠️ 1. Why position your truck in such a way you have to dig "UNDER" the tray? Not saying you can't but it increases the risk of spearing a tyre AND hitting the tub. It also prevents you "lifting early" put your truck on more of angle. Usually 45 degrees to the face. Your bucket fill method is wrong. Your positioning is wrong and you did the unthinkable. You lifted that full bucket ON IDLE! when you were waiting for that truck. Do you know why we DONT DO THAT? so many things wrong that are not what I would call unsafe but VERY unproductive and may cost you down time in the long run.

I've never heard the "lifted full bucket on idle" thing before. Is it hard on the pump, or ...?

@laythg no loader should ever lift on "idle". Most CAT loaders are equipped with a "throttle lock". Full rpm when loading, this helps your pumps circulate the hot oil thru the system replacing it with cool oil.
