Catfish bait challenge

Hello, my name is Paul and I am a full time nomadic fisherman. I started my journey in Oregon and I’m on a mission to travel the country and explore fishing in every state. That means that I am always the new guy and never know where the hot spots are. In each episode I am in a new location, sometimes learning new tricks from locals. Come along with me as I fish from my kayak or off shore for familiar fish and species that I have never caught before. Feel free to send me not only location suggestions but also tips to catch more fish.
In this raw chicken bait challenge, I find out what scent catfish prefer when given the choice between anise and garlic. I am using two poles side by side and rigged the same for one hour to get the answer. Watch and find out which one is the winner!

I always squirt a little anise flavoured fish attractant on my cutbait when I go catfishing. Chicken doesn't catch anything but bullhead around my area. I squirt some anise on my corn when I go fishing ahead of time so it soaks into the corn

The best fishing bait you can ever use is chicken nuggets. Weird right. I caught catfish all day on chicken nuggets in Wisconsin and minesota. Snook , catfish, mullet. And even a shark on chicken nuggets in florida. I will never use anything else

Cool idea but you should try it on flat heads, blues, and channels… no one wants to catch hard heads
