Welcome to North Carolina, Dave! Great video! You're sort of in my neck of the woods here. I spent quite a bit of time on Badin Lake and Lake Tillery in my younger days. As you know, the Yadkin/Pee Dee falls through and steps down through several lakes right through this part of the state. High Rock Lake flows into Tuckertown Reservoir, then Badin Lake, then on into Lake Tillery, where it thereafter becomes the Pee Dee instead of the Yadkin. I'm nowhere near the fisherman you are, but I've heard all my life that nothing beats the catfishing at Tuckertown Lake. I'd love to see you do a trip down to Tuckertown sometime. I'm located in Guilford County, and most of my lake time growing up was actually spent on what we always called Bugg's Island Lake, which is more properly known as John H. Kerr Reservoir. Most of that lake lies in Virginia, but both states honor fishing licenses from the other state. That really would be a long pull for you coming all the way from Eastern Tennessee, but they reportedly have some monster cats up there too. By the way, I LOVE Eastern Tennessee. And I HATE a barking dog.

Having been born and raised in NC, it was nice to see you make this video. I will admit that there is a good reason that I am in Tennessee. I feel like you have experienced many of the same issues I having left there for. Drivers in NC are without a doubt hard to take.It seems like everybody wants to be in first place. Most of that muddy water comes from the red clay the area is famous for. Hate you missed that first big fish . Very possible it could have been one of those danged old fish with the stripes on it.. They are pretty plentiful in the area. Anyway Dave, I appreciate your videos and get your butt back up here to God's country. Carolina can't hold a candlelight to the Volunteer state. Looks like you did pretty fair though. Hope you had a good time. T'would be fun to go fishing with you, even if we had to put up with some of those dad-blasted dogs. Safe travels to you.

Supposed to hold 40 Lb Flatheads. Got a new Catfish Rod for Father's Day. But, I am stuck with my GF at a dagblasted Campground. She won't even let me chase a Pike, Muskie, or Bass today. Maybe, I can sneak off & do some night fishing, above a tiny dam? Great bullhead spot. Never fished w Bullheads before. My fishing buddies wanted to fish the big river on Father's Day. She vetoed that. Argh!
