What is the exact name for the liquid plastic for the outside layer??

Smooth-On Smooth Cast 300 mixed with microspheres (glass bubbles) to make it lighter. However, this was my first popper prototype and I no longer make them this way. A much better way is to cast the entire popper using hard foam such as Smooth-On Foam-It 15 and not have a plastic outer shell.

You can use it after curing, no need to seal it.

@@Worsdier thanks buddy I recently bought some but it bubbled up after the clear coat , it’s probably because I didn’t let the paint cure and applied it while moisture was still in the paint

@@ivanmartinez031 did you make a lure or a foam popper? I assumed your initial question was about a foam popper since that is what this video is about, but now it sounds like you are talking about a lure? For the foam popper you do not have to seal it, but a painted lure will require a coating to protect the paint. The paint and clear coat you used are't compatible and that is why it bubbled. What kind of paint were you using, acrylic, lacquer or enamel? What clear coat are you using exactly?

@@Worsdier I made it from feather lite than I painted with acrylic paint and than clear coated with epoxy but I didn’t wait for the paint to dry

@@ivanmartinez031 yes, paint must be dry completely. I let acrylic dry for a few days just to be sure.

Hi Wikus, nee ek verkoop nie die moulds of poppers nie. Dis wel nie moeilik om jou eie mould te maak nie. Jy kan 'n popper op 'n draaibank laat sny en dan vir jou 'n rubber mould daarmee maak en dan kan jy die popper met Foam-It 15 giet sodat dit dryf.

Ek kom nou eers af op die baber roep tegniek en is mal oor dit en moet die net probeer want ek probeer maar altyd vir baber waar ek gaan. Ek het nou egter paar vrae: Eerstens watse lures gebruik mens of is dit enige vibrating tipe lure? Tweedens werk dit by enige dam of rivier waar daar babers is? Dan doen ek self ook 3D printing en sal graag my eie popper(s) wil maak maar ek wil graag weet of mens dit moet mold en cast of sal ek die 3D print net so kan gebruik? Van wat ek kan sien moet die popper wel goed kan dryf wat nie 'n probleem is om in die 3D print in te ontwerp nie. Mens kan dan dalk selfs eksperimenteer met paar ontwerpe om iets te kry wat meeste lawaai maak want ek neem aan dis waarppr die tegniek gaan?

Hi Jacques, 1: Jy kan enige pumpkin seed lure gebruik. Ek gebruik die vibrerende lures wat ek self maak, maar gewone lures werk ook goed. 2: Dit werk die beste in damme met modder water, soos Bloemhof dam en Baberspan. Die tegniek kan ook in die Vaal rivier, Vanderkloof dam en die Oranje rivier toegepas word, maar daar gebruik mens gewoonlik 'n sagter tegniek, sien hierdie video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/qnmUp6SLp7V5mc0 3: As jy ‘n popper kan 3D print wat goed dryf is dit voldoende. Ek verkies om ‘n mold te maak, want daar is beter materiale beskikbaar en dis baie vinniger om duplikate te produseer. Daar is natuurlik baie maniere om dieselfde resultate te kry, so doen wat die beste werk vir jou en waarmee jy die gemaklikste is. 4: Ek eksperimenteer ook met ‘n paar nuwe ontwerpe, maar 'n harder geluid is nie altyd beter nie. In sommige omstandighede is ‘n sagte pop die meer effektiewe tegniek.
