CATFISH RIG Color - Does it Matter?

In this video I am using black Demon Dragons rattles on my Santee catfish rig. The Santee drift rig is a catfish rig that suspends your bait off of the bottom. Peg floats are what traditionally were used to suspend the catfish bait off the bottom, but Demon Dragons have become popular in recent years. The demon dragon rig may be something that will help you catch more catfish. Rattle rigs for catfishing are a great way to attract fish to your catfish bait.

over here in WNC, we've had some winds worse then I seen in hurricanes I lived though the 40+ years that I was in Fla. , huge trees snapped in half like they were a pencil, It was a beautiful trout season opening day

Dieter, what size peg float do you use? Do you think size and color mater for different weights of baits? I find color doesn't matter or am I wrong? How much line between daemon dragoon and float? Did you add anything to the chicken or is it plan raw? Its nice to hear you talk about "how To or what to use" but the finer points help too. Tight Line

hey Bret as a reminder dont forget about solid white color sometimes solid white color is effective i caught a 2 pound LargeMouth Bass on the googan squad Solid white Micro Zinger Spinnerbait with little pink paired with the willow leaf and colorado blades in muddy chocolate tanish coffe cream conditions about 2 or 3 weeks ago in march making it be my 1st Largemouth bass on my 1st baitcaster on the spinnerbait 1st time this year , i also had great success on solid purple and pink color baits and black and red as well , im jsing dont forget about solid white colors

Do you tie your D. D. On both ends, or do you afix them so you can slide it up and down the line, so you can adjust it closer or farther from bait? Remember to be nice😬

He ties them two different ways. One way, he ties both ends. The other way, he just runs the line through both eyelets then puts a piece of electrical tape on it to keep it from sliding. Stay safe and tight lines ✌️🎣

The lakes are starting to pick up a little as it's warming up, we're still a couple three weeks from when they'll start to hammer the shad and skipjack out here. Usually mid April, first couple weeks of May it's Katy bar the door out here in mid Missouri.

Same here in Georgia , about heart of april to the heart of may its game on , i have personally had days where the absolute only way i could catch them was at night , once the weather dropped to 70 degrees at night especially during the month of "September" through november aww dude september through november can be the absolute most rewarding time of year , ormay through september could also be the most rewarding time of year and vice versa , i had days that the only way i could get them is either at 05:00- O5:30 AM time frame to O6 hundred AM hours then fast forward to about 12 pm and i caught 2 or 3 channel cats at my fire hole , so bro if you're 100% allowed to night fish "Due to State LAWS" then dude im telling there nothing more rewarding then going out about sunset to 12 Am then you might have to work the next day so you might only have 1 or 2 hours at night but its absolute rewardig thats when those ole 10 - 12 pounders come out to dine

You can use them in any depth. Water just needs to be deeper than your leader
