Greetings from Northren Canada I just wanted say I love your content and your commentary is so entertaining and informative. Dave I watch your channel quite often and I have adopted and used your tips. The last time I was out I caught a 17lb channel cat which is quite large for this area because of the seasonal temps our hottest day this summer was 75 degrees and the fight was amazing since i was using a medium action spinning real.

We used to go on part 1 of our trip by catching bluegill on the ultra light gear & fill 4-5 1 gallon bags before getting everything together for the real fishing trip. But catching the bait was always fun. Love watching your show Dave, slay em' .... peace

Drum are my favotite cut bait Easy to get and i just fillet them. Use strips of fillet. Creek fish are good whole. War mouth and sunfish. Blue gill out of pond. And have caught big flatheads on a big gob of night crawlers. Im surptised gar dont bother your bait. I get big gar runs. And snag a few.

Put a trailer hook on your Fowler spoons if the skipjack short bite or coming off the hook I like a gamakatsu wacky wide gap hook for this it seems to get everyone that bites.

I live in North West Mo. you should come fish on the Missouri river up here it's been pretty cool this summer and we have big catfish up here the river always runs about 6 miles a hr or a little more and lots of structure on it we use bull heads and asian carp you just ride up the river and the carp just jump in your boat 😀 at the right speed of a idle and blue gill we use to
