I have been listening to this jam every day for the past 2 years. It's part of my morning routine on my commute to work, and then when I hike on the weekends, I listen to the whole show. Get in a lot of miles!

Ha, I listen to it every day, too. Sometimes I only get to the end of Cassidy, sometimes all the way to set 2. Only made it through the whole show once!

Hey me too!! In another time's forgotten space Your eyes looked from your mother's face Wildflower seed on the sand and stone May the four winds blow you safely home Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew Roll away the dew I'll tell you ... The lyrics were written by Robert Hunter, and the music was composed by Jerry Garcia and Bill Kreutzmann. Let’s dive into the poetic imagery of this classic tune. 🎶 ⚓️💖⚓️🎶

I was at this show, the night after the splendid Barton Hall effort, and swear I remember Garcia’s two fuck ups on the lyrics. This was a great show! I was a student at SUNY Buffalo, and everyone was there!

Lots of folks (including me) think this is on par with (or better than) the Cornell show the previous day. Wherever you land, remember that these gigs were performed with audiences of 3-4 thousand not stadiums.

Cornell is outstanding but I can be argued that the shows leading up to it and directly after it are just as good and some may even be better ..

imo, cornell is the 3rd best show that week and maybe the 6th or 7th show that month

I prefer this 1 over Cornell. A no brainer IMHO.

Best 'Help>Slipknot>Franklin's Tower' performances were on '77, same for 5/22 one and others, high level musicianship, flow of consciousness music!

By my ears, the quintessential edition. Tbe energy at the start defines, and the tightening of the slipknot releases to a fault.❤

I just listened to several versions of this jam from 1976 which were all fantastic but at the same time it's amazing how much tighter the 77 versions are such as this one. The guitars and piano are in tune and the playing and vocal Harmonies are tighter. I love the 76 shows but the guitars were often out of tune which I find distracting . But from 77 onwards their seems to be alot more effort out into intonation and tuning I often found myself thinking if these guys have guitar techs they should be fired for not knowing how to intonate a guitar.
