Absolute belter mate, we couldn't fish horseshoe last time we went, there was some guy chucking bags of lime through a woodchipper into the lake , must have been a weed or algae problem. That was a couple of years back now, looking nice and grown in and established up there now on that lake . We went to cudmore instead and it snowed and snowed and we blanked haha great vid John

Wow! Do Brits ever eat the catfish that large? Grew up along the lower Hudson River in New York. A friend caught a 6# Channel Catfish which was huge for the area. In fresh water pends and lakes we have bullheads-I've caught 2# fish a few times. Have to go South toTennsee to catch the big catfish.

I think, not sure, but there are lots of different cats. Some are not good to eat, including the Wells cat fish which is the one here. But also here in England we always put them back, and you would meet very angry fisherman if you didn't.

I thought my carp gear would do, but no. The guys on the Ebro in Spain were using sea rods and 80bl dacron 3.0 trebles, and were not "over gunned."...makes you think.
