Ok so I’ve had this theory since episode one that Rex is potentially part siren or at least like 1/8 siren. Hear me out he’s decently good at catching fish and a semi popular singer. I imagine he’s only semi siren because some people love his music while others don’t. I imagine he wouldn’t know he’s a siren himself but idk. This is a random theory and probably isn’t true but it’s food for thought. (If this is true I’m going to freak out lol)
