Gorgeous coastlines and landscapes. All those glacier rounded rocks are fascinating. However I have to admit it's still odd to see a Lagoon with the mast in the middle of the salon roof instead of the front. Thank you for sharing.

Wim

We are planning to follow your route in spring 2025 leaving from Volendam. When exactly did you leave NL, it looked quite esrly? Which routes over the North Sea did you consider in your planning? Your videos motivated us. SY Nxt Lvl, Lagoon 39

We left in April, you never know what the weather will be like in that month. At that time I still wanted to see land 😇🙈

Oh man. I just randomly found this channel. Looking forward to more! Thoughts on high latitude cruising on a cat? I can see some plusses (shallow draft) in high flux tides, but some minuses (insulation, etc) in the cold temps and rougher seas in the northern climates. Wife and I are thinking about early retirement, and a cat seems to make sense, but we want to spend some time in northern Europe, and I am curious about locks, comfort, etc. Anyway - I'll be checking out your videos today - first ones I've seen in a Lagoon up north! Yea! Cheers from Oregon, U.S.A. :-)

Hi great vlog.we are thinking of buyng a lagoon 42 for permanent living abord in danmark. What about wintertime issues like water, condens ,heating ,insolating and so on?. I'am a fiberglass boatbuilder and el and mec of trade. Been working building boats all my life. Had own 3 sailboats also an old sweedish 42 cat . Me and my wife are retired an looking for a simple life off the grid. Hope for any feedback,pardon my bad english.

When we left on our Lagoon 39 in September from France to Holland it was interesting weather and when we left the next year to Norway in April it was even snowing. A heater might help but a couple of electrical heaters do a great job as well

@CatGreatcircle7 жыл бұрын
+Jeroen Slot uit de lucht ja, relatieve snelheid tov de boot laag en bij golven even goed timen qua hoogte, wat batterijtijd overhouden is geen overbodige luxe

How do you like the Lagoon 39? Any pros or cons?
@CatGreatcircle8 жыл бұрын
Hi Robby, still very enthousiastic about the 39. Very easy to sail and manouver, boat feels very solid. Good speed both on sail and even on 1 engine. Convinced that we made a good choice going for a Lagoon, upgrading now to a 52S in feb17 which has basically the same concept as the 39 but just a bit bigger. We didn't have any real issues with the boat and it was our first cat so can't tell you any significant cons.
