It's the reason we are here watching this, the caller's are free to say as they wish and the host is free to respond and listen to genuine callers , that's the beauty of the freedom on display here.. if you celebrate the fact you can't say these things anymore you will lose many more freedoms.

Some people still have old VHS stuff laying around. I think a friend of mine still has some more of this Austin Public Access on VHS. He may still have APA shows that are not on KZbin, like Politics with Moraff, Jason Osbourne Presents, and Comic and Characters.

It was a matter of, at a bare minimum, wanting the pranks to be more original. Yes, we invited and encouraged serious discussions (particularly when it was Melissa and I doing Catharsis) but hearing the same pranks done with all of the alluring charm of having to wear some crusty old hobo's week old, sweaty underwear, got real fucking old, real fucking fast.

Went to SWT now called Texas State. People always told my parents and I who were new to Texas at the time "oh that's a party school." When you are in college you have the choice to study or party. You can do both and have some balance. SWT's party school years were over by the mid to late 80s at least. I had a great experience at SWT.

I can't help but to admire the man for setting a public and anonymus space where people were able to talk about feelings and decisions and life stuff, even vent their inner toughts. All of it as a hobbie besides his work. Having to deal the technical aspect of it all must have been a pain in the ass... Of course there is a high degree of young vanity in his show, but still...
