I have flown on Cathay economy many times, once I was talking to a man that was waiting to get in the toilet and he was complaining that he wouldn't be paying to fly in premium again as it wasn't worth the extra, as long as I can get an extra legroom seat I wont be bothering. Good review.

Premium Economy seat has 20" width and this is 6" more than Economy?! Don't believe that - Economy seats can't be 14" wide. PE looks a nice seat but the 9" recline must cause problems with pax behind. Ok if everyone reclines at the same time. I presume last row of PE reclines as much? That's the seat I'd choose.

Following the turbulence incident on Singapore Airlines who would lay across seat as your unable to fasten your seat belt. Sudden unexpected turbulence is why you should always have your seat belt fastened

@@old.not.too.grumpy. yeah, you loosely buckle the middle seat, then lay down, then tighten the belt -- it's not perfect but enough to hold you in

JFK to HK is airbus 350, not very comfortable seat of premium economy.
