No doubt this quartet was in a league of their own. Probably the best Cathedral Qt lineup ever. The blend, the harmony, the chemistry...spot on perfect! I attended Glen's funeral and let me tell you, it was a celebration of his love for Jesus! The story they told at his funeral how he sat up in bed and shouted "Wow! Wow!" just seconds before he passed over to his Heavenly home sent chills up and down my spine. What a blessing our Lord gave us when he enriched our lives with this music! Amen!

I ATTENDED Roger's service via Web broadcast at Franklin FBC. So many folks tied in to their server, we tanked it!!! He loved Glen Payne, and named Legacy 5 after the legacy the Cathedrals left. Roger inherited a pair of Glen's leather wingtips, that were cleaned up, and polished, and gifted him by Glen's wife. Thus the legacy was carried forward.

This was recorded at Gospel Music Appreciation Week in 1987, in Fort Mill South Carolina, it was a Christain Theme Park, that went under in the early 90s, this week featured a lot of Southern Gospel Artist, The Cathedrals,Kingsmen,Inspirations,Greenes,Hoppers,Nelons,Hemphills,WendyBagwelland TheSunlighters,SingingAmericans,GoldCity,FloridaBoys,Perry's,and so many more southern Gospel Artist, I believe this was the place where Jerry Faldwell came in as pastor after the fall of Jim Baker.

Roger might have sung it better; hower, Gerald is a multi-purpose musician. He can sing all ranges -- even bass -- he can play the piano, he can play the drums and he is funny, I was able to see Gerald in a concert by Greater Vision. He had to play the piano because his wife (who always plays the piano) couldn't make it. So, he had to play the piano, be the frontman and sing.

Geralds' wife never played the piano for Greater Vision. He is a very good pianist and wanted to add a more traditional sound to their group when he started having problems with his voice. Hiring Jon Epley would fill the part he sang.

@@gregkurtz994 Hi Greg, I appreciate your response and you probably know the group personally and better than I. When we had the privilege to see Greater Vision (years ago already), that is was Gerald had said at the beginning of the concert; that his wife was ill and he had to play the piano. There were only three of them at the time and the only piano player would have been Gerald. I believe this was fairly early on as a trio. He still sang but at the piano.

Roger Bennett does a better job on this song than Gerald Wolfe. I really enjoy the words of this song.
