So gallant of the sweet and sensitive Vanya to carry the bottle of water through those flight of stairs for his Babushka Olga. As an aside, well-done with the Cathedral Window, dessert, Liza. I'm so excited for all of you to experience how Christmas is in the Philippines. September or the month of your arrival here is actually perfect timing since it's already Christmas here as soon as September starts.

9:06 No, we don't reheat rice in the oven with roast chicken. Not all Filipinos have an oven. My mom usually reheats rice by adding last night's rice in the rice cooker with a bit of water. She might also just put the old rice on top of the new rice (when it's cooked). 10:50 Cathedral windows jelly is not Filipino; it has roots in Central and South America. But just like banana bread, it's popular among Filipinos (especially during Christmas)! Learning about Filipino food and eating traditions have introduced you to foods from other countries that Filipinos also like. It does not help that we Filipinos are usually not curious about the history of our food. Worse, some of us make assumptions about it. 11:37 And while you're enjoying Christmas in July, I'll tell you about Filipino Christmas dinners: It's called "Noche Buena" (from Spanish). It is traditional to have ham and Edam cheese (Эдам сыр), along with any other dishes you would like to have (adobo, whole-pig lechon, roast chicken, barbecued meats, lumpia, pancit, spaghetti, caldereta, macaroni salad, fruit salad, buko salad, mango float, cathedral windows, different kinds of kakanin, etc.) Hot chocolate for Christmas is also traditional. Many Filipinos make an effort to have a Christmas dinner because family (and community) unity are important. 13:09 I think Andrey is talking about "nata de coco" (на́та-дэ-коко́, ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/%D0%9D%D0%B0%D1%82%D0%B0-%D0%B4%D0%B5-%D0%BA%D0%BE%D0%BA%D0%BE ). 18:11 🤣😂🤣 I also watched Andrey's last video (the one with the small boodle fight). If you're doing a boodle fight on a long table, I suggest you place rice along the length of the table. Also, place different dishes in different places on the table so people can have easy access to rice and other dishes without having to cross other people too much. P.S.: Has Andrey told you that Filipinos start Christmas on September 1 and end around January 6?

Surely, they’ll gonna enjoy and have a lot of fun being in the Philippines!! They’ll see what the Philippines have that most countries don’t have like the “water bufallo”. Hope Andrei will show them in Davao!! Sister Liza, you are really a good cook/chef. Those “deserts” looks so yummy!! Good job again cooking filipino!!👌🇵🇭🫶🏻🇷🇺

Wow, that's one of my favorite desserts during the holidays, it's been a while I haven't had it! I'm not sure if "cheese pimiento" is a popular sandwich spread in Russia, the peppers in cousin Irina's garden make me think of it. It may be purchased commercially here in the Philippines. However, nothing compares to homemade with love.

How many days left for your trip? Let's begin a countdown.
