An easy way to make a Cathedral window block, with 3 different versions of the same block. Step by step instructions. A good way to use up scraps and off cuts. Can be made with any size squares of fabric.

Many thanks for sharing this video - of all the cathedral window techniques I’ve seen on KZbin this seems the best in my opinion!

Would ironing the folded edges help keep the shape of the window? Or maybe I just need to practice my sewing because I always sew off the edge or the sewing line is not as smooth as I would like. Also the fabric seems to shift a lot.

Hi thanks for your question. I wouldn't advise ironing. It takes practice, no one gets it perfect first time. Take your time and sew slowly, if you have a slow setting on your machine use it. I hope this helps but really it is just practice and don't be too harsh on yourself, I'm sure it's better than you think. 😊😊😊

This is interesting; but, it still looks heavy.

Hi yes there are a few layers of fabric in places but I did use quite a heavy fabric as I was using up scraps and had to use what I had 😊
