As a little boy I was absolutely amazed by George in this song and I played it constantly. After a long while my parents got so sick of me playing it that the tape came up missing. Good memories. I'm from the States but as I write this I'm sitting on a beach in the country of Panama and woke up with slight congestion in my nose and throat resulting in my voice dropping a bit. So of course I went to this video to see if I could sing with George and I'm hitting all of his notes with strength!!

no doubt George was and still is the greatest bass singer ever. I've heard others that could sing lower than him, but his voice was more rounded, softer and soothing than all.

what do you call that note and little vocal move George does between 18 and 19?? LOL...that was funny

I think you call that the results of a bad tape! In fact this video wasn't marketed because of teh flaws (or at least that what I was told). There are a number of glitches throughout the entire video.

@adkinsda the camera was messed up by George's awesomeness that's why there is so many glitches lol

In my opinion the best formation of the group. Love Kirk, the closest thing to a natural soprano. love George. a bass with resonance and depths.

He’s supposed to be tenor not soprano

its natural to think the ones we grew up with are best but having said that any impartial judgement you could use would put these guys near the top

Maybe Kirk and Mack Taunton(one of the cathedrals 60´s tenors) were the cleanest tenors ever in this quartet... The blondie´s voice is so much softer than Dan´s one, and really cleaner than Ernie´s.

Kirk Talley was the best tenor the Cathedrals had (he's in this video). Not to take away from Dan F. or Ernie H., as they were incredible too. A modern version of this by the Dove Brothers from around 2003 is outstanding too.

Most definitely...I just thought it was funny how it sounded. some of the camera angles in this thing are terrible too...and Roger, bless his heart, is playing the devil out of the piano and not even a shot of him...
