My favourite actress in the whole world. Beautiful but most of all intelligent woman whose acting is very subtle (makes a nice change from the overacting school of Hollywood).120 films, still working and surprising always! Many thanks for posting.

I vaguely recall reading that after WWII the US compelled all European countries to sign over their cinema or, in other words, that henceforth 70% of all film shown in Europe would be American and Deneuve knows this very well. Her father working with the NAZI is no more difficult to believe than many major US corporations working hand in hand with the NAZI during the War. There are numerous well-researched books on the subject for anyone who cares to know more about it.
