This is such a good game. I had no idea I'd love it so much. I implore others to try it out. One fun recommendation is to only play the game at night, as it can help you relate to the protagonist even more!

@@cash_eye the story is so drawing that you'll feel compelled to play. I don't really like puzzle games and from what I've heard in this version there's even a story mode option but try it out and you might be surprised.

@@cash_eye if you play this game on easy you won't need to worry about the pressure of time, but that also eliminates the adrenalin fuled aspect of the gameplay. I suggest you get a feel for the game on easy first and then, when you feel ready, ramp up the difficulty to normal.

Absolutely loved this on the PS4. I don’t think i’ll be double dipping but this is a game EVERYONE should play. The story is incredible and so engaging and the puzzles are very fun and break up the story nicely.

I found this game for the switch a few weeks ago in like-new condition for $25 USD. Within the first few hours of gameplay I knew I had found an game where the art was unique and creative. The puzzle gameplay itself is simple but takes time to master. I got the Katherine true ending first (but was also kind of aiming for it) and even then the direction the storyline takes turns I did not expect and surprised me how intense parts were, which was half the fun of it. Its definitely hard to find other romance/horror games for the switch with 10+ different endings. I was glad I picked it up before anyone else could.

I'm going to be picking this one up. Puzzles and Nintendo always go hand to hand and since I've played the original on the Ps3 and wasn't able to finish it, along with updated gameplay and features, I do think it's worth the price in my honest opinion. It's a buy for me, but I can see why some would rather wait for a sale. Hope that you guys get around Deadly Premonition 2 when that comes out in a couple days. :)

Persona isn't a PlayStation exclusive, just has an established fanbase that happens to be on the PlayStation in Japan. If they gain confidence in their ips doing well on other platforms they will port them

Kondorito Its not a decade old game though. It only just released in 2019. The base game is a decade old. But this isn’t the base game. It doubles the levels, adds 20+ cutscenes and even more new endings, third love interest. Same price as on PS4 when it released, nobody complained then.

Totally disagree on your point on value. For one this version adds a whole new storyline to follow. Basically you get 50% more game. The base experience alone i say is still worth the price, but factoring in the extra stuff makes this feel like a great deal. If you catch it on sale that is even better, but if not you won't feel ripped off.

@@kkarlo777 it's at least worth $45 because it's not the old game -- it's a definitive edition that has 20+ cutscenes, added stages and side characters, a completely new character arc, 5 new endings which totals to 13 possible endings, and it comes with the dlc like seeing everyone in their underwear for giggles, persona 5 soundtrack, costumes, etc. But by the end of the day it depends on whether you like the game or not.

Basically you'll just miss out on some extra features and online multiplayer, but playing the original is a good way to get into the game before you get into Full body so that you can appreciate the changes they made in the Switch version.

Great game, plus legendary voice actor Troy Baker voices the mc of this game, you know, voice actor of Joel from the last of us, drakes bro from uncharted 4, joker from Batman origins, etc. He also voices many anime characters and whatnot.

Can't believe this is ten years old... How time flies... I enjoyed it back on PS3. As someone who spent most of their 20s out drunk and in/out if relationships the story did speak me me quite a bit... Even if the sexual politics have probably aged a little. If they bring P4G over next and have P5R in development I'll be a happy bunny (or sheep) indeed

Don’t understand complaints of price. $50 is same price it was on PS4 when it released last year. I mean, unless you’re talking about indie games, that’s just how much games cost. It is the Full Body Edition, which doubles the number of levels, adds 20+ cutscenes and a third love interest, with all new endings for Catherine and Katherine as well.

The game looks great and I am all over choices impacting the story and ending but I get frustrated very easily under time pressure. I really don’t like being under pressure for puzzle and platform sections. The core gameplay really isn’t for me, shame it looks really cool

Then just play it on easy, it stops the time pressure and there's no shame for that in this game. Once you get comfortable with the gameplay ramp up the difficulty to normal.
