You know why people like Liz Jones were critical? Because it wasn't cynical and jaded. Some have a hard time seeing something unabashedly loving, promoting the importance of family and connecting with nature. They prefer the dark corners, seeing them as more real. Says who? Life is full of light and darkness. Both are real. Why would Princess Catherine want to promote darkness when she's just coming out of it? How would that help anyone? I think the video was trying to convey that they are a family first. They are real people and they are going through real challenges because they’ve been vilified so horribly over the last 4 to 5 years that people forget that they’re actually people. They have children they have family. They have personal relationships. The two jokers in California have done nothing but attack them try to make William seem like a villain and try to make Catherine the princess of Wales look like she’s this awful person and a racist so I think they’re trying to combat that going forward, we are people we are a family. Kev, the video was melancholy because the cancer journey really is. For those of us going through that journey, it hit home. They did this for the people living with cancer and we appreciate it. I'm not a crier but I cried at this. It's a grounding and very real message. I'm glad she has such an obviously loving family around her and they can support each other. Those criticising this can't have been through a scary cancer diagnosis.

Catherine's film looked pretty normal to me. Everyone I know with young children has days out that look like this. I think Catherine wanted to a. give a progress report, b., highlight that William has been her rock (especially after the vile rubbish that swirled around on social media about them both), and c. wanted to show that the kids are ok. And the film certainly showed all that. Maybe it's the journalists/commentators who are completely out of touch?

They did not pay any attention to all of the subtle symbolism and nuances within the video which makes it a work of art in my opinion. Cancer treatment: Chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy, can ravage the patient's other body systems with life-long side effects. William actually was an active duty search and rescue helicopter pilot for 3 years and then a full-time ambulance pilot for 2 years. Harry was in Afghanistan for a few months twice. He never seemed to be full time active service.

It’s not strange or off, princess Catherine is fighting for her life! She now has to go through screenings every 2 months, etc, etc, etc., not to mention that it all depends on how aggressive the type of cancer is. This video was absolutely stunning and humanizes them and gives us all a glimpse of what’s truly important in life and this is family! She also informed the world what to continue expecting so that no one speculates. I do think she’s fighting a particular tough cancer, hence these types of videos that they are putting out, but that’s just my opinion. Hoping the best for their beautiful family! 🙏🏻

W&C absolutely DID NOT have to share that with us, but they did. IMO it endeared them to us more, it was beautifully done. The love they have for each other and their family is inspiring. William showing his love for Catherine shows us more than husband/wife, they are soulmates and best friends. William is honorable and Catherine is elegance and grace. Caring for others even now in the toughest point in her life. That video was about them as a family as much as it was about her journey. An antithesis to the west coast duo. Who talk about their "amazing" children but they are never with them. Galivanting around the world inappropriately dressed and ignorant to the culture of the countries they visit. After crying in a book about how your parents did the same to you, and how traumatic it was. Then preaching things they don't follow, while spilling lies and personal details on their family. While *ALLEGEDLY*abusing staff and animals along the way.

The two yokels from Monteshitshow showed their love over a 6 episode utterly boring series. What Catherine showed in this video, which by all standards, a very short video, was so much more impactful and moving. The cinematography used was madterfully done with so much symbolism and depth to it.

I think the "warm and loving" tenor of this video is perhaps different than what we expect because of what the family has gone through this year. Knowing how devastating Catherine's diagnosis was and how scary for her husband and children, it would only stand to reason that they have a different perspective now that she is on the road to recovery.

If Netflix was so desperate, they could have Harry develop a documentary on the lives of Invictus participants. How, when and where were they injured, what has been their road to recovery and how Invictus may have helped them to rise. By shining a light on injured veterans that would have had huge human interest and played a role in helping them. But maybe that would have been too much work for PH.

Why does it have to be picked apart & dissected? Princess Catherine shared with the world how things were for her, & that she knows what others are struggling with! I loved Princess Kate's family video. It made me cry because I was so glad she has beaten cancer and is now well. I was so worried about her. I feel they wanted to let the public know she is better and did it in a sweet loving way. You can see how much their family love each other. I think Harry is looking for something to take an interest in and he is trying to promote the only sport he is good at. It's a shame Harry wasn't able to spend more time in the military because it is the only thing he was good at and felt like he was accomplishing something. Same with Andrew.

She is unfortunately not out of the woods yet. It take mostly 5 years before you can be called cancer free. Her immune system is totally compromised which can take a very long time to reccover. She will until then remain very susceptible to illnesses and needs to take extra precautions. But we can be joyful that the prognosis for now is positive.

So the film was bittersweet, it was warm and loving. Princess Catherine - she is damned if she doesn’t - she damned if she does. She just wanted to let the people know that she’s is getting healthy because so many people has been so worried about her health. And it’s also shows her children her husband her doing the things that they enjoy to do. Why make fun of her.
