I never moved from the TV the day the Queen died, waiting for news. Later I remember the farmers lined the hedgerows with their tractors and horse owners did the same, lining the roads to pay respects as the Queen's coffin passed. It was such an unbelievable few days of outpouring of love for a wonderful, dignified monarch. How I felt for Charles having to address the various assemblies of the United Kingdom, all the legal duties, etc, while having no chance to grieve for his mother.

As an American who went to University in London and later a curatorial internship in one of the largest British museums, Queen Elizabeth II took on a major role for humanity and culture. She was the Glue that held Societies together. Her knowledge and education led her to be the Motherly Comfort through wars, attacks, and everyday life, all to make a better life for everyone not only in Britian, the Commonwealth but all the World. I miss the Glue and I miss the sense of her Motherly Comfort she brought to all knowing you can trust she would do the right thing. And, when she did her Christmas message, the whole world watched... Irreplaceable Gift

There will be statues but none of them will capture what she was really like. When people go to that forest in the future they will smile and that will be like her smile. And they will feel that presence of hers in the majesty of nature. Nothing made by people will be good enough to replace that. I vote for a forest.

@@margueritahancock5472 Andrews problem was his jealousy of Charles being King, he's ALWAYS had it in for him n even used Fergie n Diana to do his dirty work n then to become a pedo in his later life, would never trust him or his daughter Eugenie, Harry's wife's social butterfly but what Harry's done is brutal....you can't be anywhere near him or his wife as they use ppls private details for recognition n money...just like they did to the actress in Friends.. she should have taken them to court.

Biggest mistake Harry and Megan made was Oprah Winfrey tell all interviews and similarly his book. Harry was well liked in America and many of us had hope for is marriage with Megan. No doubt British press was pretty Brad to them and some members of bth of their families weren’t good but they could have left and still have done good work. But these events have resulted in a huge loss of respect here and most don’t won’t to hear about them!

@@susanfletcher2918so a father having photos taken deserves to be ghosted and treated like dirt? A brother defending his wife and staff against rude comments and bullying is being mean to the bullies? The British media only started calling them out for their hypocrisy. Before that she was given more favours in that family than Diana, Fergie, Sophie and Catherine combined and it still wasn't enough. Please get your facts right before you start commenting that the RF didnt treat her well. Too many of their allegations have been proven to be lies, even by Harry's own words in his book, and by witnesses.
