There are no layers to him and even then he's ham in serious roles. Well that's poor. Catherine Tate is multilayered she becomes her role and transforms with ease. If you are going to look at the 'Nan' character then, for my money, among the many great 'Nan' clips, the funniest is Nan going with her grandson to the local day centre for a Christmas lunch, where the singer Charlotte Church has been booked to sing and the legendary Chaz and Dave are there too.
