My sister works for an international shipping company and they have contacts all over the World. One contact who viewed the video was speaking to her on the phone and they were really offended by this skit. It was the Munich office and they were outraged that she did not "do" German!

That was Spain Spanish. In Mexico and South America they use the S, but in Spain the S sounds like TH. At the end she did say, "This is not my sandwich," but during a break in filming they were getting lunch at a sandwich truck and she overheard him tell them, "This is not my sandwich," and added it in during filming to throw him off. You notice he almost broke character when she said that.

I studied a German, Russian and French. The way they teach it in school makes it easy to learn- you would be great , Leo! People who are musically gifted ( that’s YOU!) are often good at languages as well.

Hahah your reaction was great ! 😄🤣 The thing that gets me is that the second joke doesn't get a reaction from the audience, noone picks it up but the first time I saw this sketch I laughed out loud.. She says " Well I can do that" (Audience laughs) I did a TEFL in my gap-year.. ... I laughed because TEFL is Teaching English as a Foreign Language... (I have one too lol) .... there is no way that would help to learn other languages 🤣

In rehearsals, the actors were served sandwiches and the Nigerian actor said “this is not my sandwich”. That’s where that came from. Apparently that actor and the Chinese lady laughed so much that they had to do many, many takes.

I have watched some American reactions especially with younger guys getting really offended. But the key to comedy that runs so close to the edge is that you spread it around. You do not leave anyone out including themselves. You actually see this in Family Guy, they trash everyone because its the only way to do such close to the edge offensive comedy. Here in the UK we self deprecating a lot and most of the time the joke is on us but we don't mind laughing at ourselves.
