Join me as I explore Rocky Mountain National Park for my first time. I camp overnight inside the park and spend 2 days exploring and hiking to 5 lakes total! I also see some wildlife along the way. This is my final adventure in Colorado this season before moving north. Rocky Mountain National Park is even more beautiful than I imagined.

There's beauty everywhere. Look up at the sky. Stop to feel the wind, look at ice crystals on a window. Put out a heated birdbath & see even migrating birds up close. Adopt a cute little pet to keep you company. Beauty & love & appreciation is everywhere if you notice, create & make time to enjoy.

Ya know, Catherine, you're starting to turn these videos into little cinematic works of art. I was watching and thinking how beautifully done the transitions are, how the audio is perfectly balanced between actual sounds of you hiking or speaking and the background music. The photography is outstanding, the scenes are well composed; even the way the river and creeks were your companions, and you photographed them under different light and from different angles, and wove them though the story. Really, really impressive work.

Thank you so much for posting this video Catherine. I recently moved from Washington State to Indiana and my heart is aching to be in the mountains. The saying goes " you are not in the mountains, the mountains are in you". I am counting down the days (9 months and 2 weeks) before I will be back in them again. Thanks again for your beautiful work.

WOW AGAIN...No wonder John Denver wrote "Rocky Mountain High". Soooooooooooo....BEAUTIFUL! I nominate you to be the poster child for our National Parks. You channel has inspired me to get out there and so I went through your qualifying purchases and many things got on my Amazon list. I wish you would have had a men's backpack as well in your affiliate program and other man stuff like socks and hiking shoes, boots, etc because I got a dozen or so items on my list to acquire for my upcoming adventures some from your list and some inspired by it. I already had a Kelty backpack and Kelty tent along with another base camp tent and much hiking gear but it is time for some new stuff. I am getting ready for some new adventures and it is all your fault...LOL! You have re-ignited that fire in me with all your inspiring videos. Thank you so much again and again Catherine for reminding us all of how majestic our world is that God created for us to enjoy. I am excited!

@@CatherineGregoryAdventures Yea Cat....Rocky Mountain National park hosts one of the most popular 14er hikes/climbs in the state which is Longs peak....and Trail Ridge road draws allot of visitors and also a large herd of Elk has free access to Estes Park and the entire park....Longs peak is a strenuous hike to the Longs peak summit @ 14255' ...the Longs peak Diamond east face (The diamond) is still today a great challenge for serious climbers practicing for vertical challenges....stay safe Cat !!

Once again Catharine, thank you for sharing yourself with us. I had a great uncle that years ago would fly National Geographic photographers into the jungles throughout the world. About every 3 years or so he would visit, we would eat then he would show these 16mm movie copies that he would get from NG. They were beautiful. I say all that to say this. You most definitely give them a run their money. 😎 Thank you for letting this physically challenged old guy get back into nature and see all that I can. Keep up the great work, have fun, stay safe and stay healthy.

This brings back so many memories: my last time here was in 1970, with my sister, on a road trip from Dallas. Spent 10 days tent camping behind Longs Peak. We hiked the Bear- Dream- Nymph Lakes trail, and spent time in the little community of Glenhaven (it was washed away in 2011) This was one of my favorite parks, and the highlight was the 4th of July Arabian Horse Show & fireworks over Lake Estes! After that we went to Aspen, Ouray and Black Canyon of the Gunnison! Your videos are outstanding, and I really appreciate seeing places I've been!!!
