The elastic weakening is why I went with the Chelsea boots with a zipper! I’d recommend that for people who want to keep your doc Chelsea boots for as long as possible

I agree with all what you have said. My DM Chelsea for men is still in pristine condition and I have it for more than 11 years now.

Haha, i am just like you. I have over 30 pairs of Docs but i only wear 2-3 pairs because i want you see them aging. I love this look so much. The slow aged look of martens. I really really want to wear the other pairs but i can't. Its like missing out a valuable day for my aging the loved boots "project". Thought im alone with that. ;-)

Hey :) quick question u did mention this briefly but, do they really keep your feet warm in snow?? i know they are kinda waterproof but not like super waterproof so i am just wondering how they handle snow

5 years on mine as well, soles have lost their "stickiness" and it's easy to slip now. Part of the heel is worn to high heaven. Probably just my walking style

I’ve had these exact boots for almost one year. I love them but I wish I had known to size down before buying 😅 there’s a lot of extra room so I have to wear them with insoles and I was a bit insecure that my feet looked too big but now I don’t care haha

@@ilynn9794 I had to put insoles in them so I could wear them 🥲 otherwise I'd hurt my ankle trying to hold the boots in place while I walked 😂 the problem went away with the insoles but I ended up selling the boots to a friend (a man)

The made in England ones have a much stronger melted connection between the sole and the other part.
