Philip from Papua New Guinea. Catholics in Papua New Guinea know Seventh-day Adventists are a force to be reckoned with. It is the fastest growing church - with possibly over 500,000 church members and another possible 1 million people who know about the Sabbath and the truth but keep it in their hearts. Protestantism is alive and will in Papua New Guinea.

The word "anti" in antichrist does not mean someone who is going to be openly anti (against) Christ. That word "anti" in the original Bible language can actually mean "IN PLACE OF". So could the bible antichrist be someone who has actually put himself "in place of" Christ? Well, we have further Bible evidence to support this. In 1 John 2:18-19 it says that there were "many antichrists", who "WENT OUT FROM THE CHURCH". In other words, John is pointing to the fact that those "antichrists" were WITHIN THE CHURCH!! Not only that, but Paul in 2 Thess. 2:3-4 calls the man of sin the "son of perdition". Now there is only one other place in the Bible where the name "son of perdition" is used, and that is in John 17:12 talking about JUDAS! And what was Judas? A professing follower of Christ Jesus. Someone who deceived from WITHIN the "church". "The leader of the Catholic church is defined by the faith as the Vicar of Jesus Christ (and is accepted as such by believers). The Pope is considered the man on earth who TAKES THE PLACE of the Second Person of the omnipotent God of the Trinity." (John Paul II, Crossing the Threshold of Hope, p. 3, 1994). "ANTI" - Christ = "IN PLACE OF" Christ!

As I suggested in commenting on other videos from this channel, generally speaking the content is very good, quite worthy, and beneficial to take note of. Specifically though, this is another instance where Adventists set themselves up for some ridicule. I think this is very important because our detractors and in some instances, rightly so, call out our ignorance. Kenneth Copeland is not an Evangelical minister. Even many Pentecostal ministers would not regard him as Evangelical. He is part of a very large subgroup of the Charismatic movement. He is one of the premier Word of Faith ministers. I may be wrong about this, but I suggest that most Christians, meaning Catholics, Protestants, Eastern Orthodox, and others regard Word of Faith as a heresy. I am not posting this to suggest that we should not be warned with regards to prophetic landmarks, but given the heightened scrutiny of our church, we should also be technically on mark as well. In this case, confusing Word of Faith with Classic Evangelicalism, suggesting that such evangelicals would follow suit with Kenneth Copeland is really a point at which perhaps we may be rightly ridiculed. Again, I'm not suggesting that the end time deception that Seventh-day Adventists understand is not a valid teaching.
