Whether you eat and drink the bread and wine and think it's symbolic or real is academic - what really matters is how you live your life as if God is the ruler of the Earth and Jesus was God on Earth and the image of God. The rest is a ritual and academic. Christians should focus on creating heaven on earth now not in some far off place in the future or after death ❤

Jesus never existed. It is a coy of earlier god legends. There is not a single eyewitness (outside the bible) who mentions Jesus, a single word anywhere.
@michaeldwyer9656Ай бұрын
@@maylingng4107 Allow me to argue to the contrary RE the existence of Yeshua of Nazareth. There are over 5,000 secular accounts of not only the man, but of his crucifixion. Oh, by the way, Islam's Mohammed said Yeshua was a great prophet. Ask our Muslim friends. They are fond of Maryam (Mary) of Nazareth as well!

@@michaeldwyer9656 Well, it is very easy to prove you wrong. It is alleged that many thousands of people have seen and heard Jesus. Yet there is not a single EYEWITNESS (outside the lies in the bible that were compiled 2 centuries later) who mentions one word about Jesus (and the same for all the writers who lived in and around the Middle East contemporaneously -- the most famous being Philo who chronicles the religion and history of the Jews) How could that be? Can you name an EYEWITNESS (anyone from the alleged thousands) who mentions one word about Jesus? The fact that you cannot, makes Jesus just an invented myth. The Jesus story is a very close copy of earlier god myths (for example: Mithras and several other gods). Just because the myth/lies were copied 5,000 times, does not make it factually true. Santa Claus story was copied more than 5,000 times, so was Mohammad riding the flying animal and splitting the moon into half. Or Joseph Smith getting golden tablets from the angel Moroni. You believe those as well? Why not? The evidence for all is the same = ZERO.
@maylingng4107Ай бұрын
@@FaithinCatholic I am not confused --- but you are a liar. You could not name a single eyewitness (outside the lies in the bible) either. Could you?

there's no go reason to accept these false dichotomies. while there are benefits to being a religious person (any religious flavor you'd like, mind you), that doesn't mean any particular flavor of religion is true. i presume we'd want to believe what's true and not just what's instrumental. there's nothing wrong with atheism that's not a feature of religious life. i think what's wrong with both is that they take too seriously the propositions that god exist and that god doesn't exist way too seriously. if god is supernatural, then god is inconceivable, and certainly the propositions that god exist and that god doesn't exist are meant to refer to god. but then if god is inconceivable, those propositions can't refer. if they can't refer, then no fact of the matter can make either proposition true. if they can't be true, then all that's left for them to be are misguided talk that the theist finds value in and the atheist doesn't. no thank you, to either one.

There's more important things to do than bark about your disagreements with Catholics. You're promoting division, not helping to heal the body of Christ.
@christophertonАй бұрын
Always send a Protestant to a church that has Jesus in the monstrance of the altar to say that prayer 1. Simply ask them to study the church fathers 2. For atheists study the overall good works and fruits they have produced for 2 millenia 3. God has no downside. If the atheist is wrong he is lost. If he is right we fade out to nothing

One does not become a Christian. Instead one does Christian as a procreation gift doing role. Consecrated marriage identity being-role doing, celibate vowed to man in Christ or male female vowed to God, or associating together with consecrated marriage is the yeast for raising the yeast less bread in Eucharist gift role to be and do real presence in keeping in uncertainty of belief the inseparability and qualitative equality of to be and to do.

*Why Religion Corrupts Morality* First: Let us define Morality. Morality is a set of principles adopted by a given society defining the distinction between right and wrong or good and bad behavior. “Right and wrong” need a bit of further definition. Some further definitions are highly subjective. Cutting across the various definitions, and restricting ourselves only to current day democratic societies, we can summarize as “do unto others a you wish them to do unto you” Creationist subscribe to Objective morality, which is the idea that right and wrong exist factually, without any importance of opinion. It's the concept that some actions and beliefs are imperatively good or inherently bad, and that the goodness or badness of those things holds true no matter who you are or what else you believe in. This definition claims to be timeless and universal, however it does not hold up as useful or rational a times and societies change. To use the most obvious example, creationist (based on the bible) claim the slavery is a moral and acceptable concept.

Catholic apologists are focussed on sin rather than morality per se. And what is sin? Anything that offends God. And what offends God? Just about everything, but, above all, ignoring him, or even just failing to offer the continual lavish praise of which he appears to feel in desparate need. Catholicism is the business where the customer NEVER wins. As a demonstration of the evolution of the moral sense, Aron Ra has pointed out that a person who acted strictly in accordance with levitical law would today be branded a criminal in most countries.
