In October 2023, for the first time in the history of the Catholic Church, women were allowed to participate in and vote at the Synod of Bishops, a religious gathering that had previously been reserved only for bishops. The landmark event came amid calls from feminists in many countries for the ordination of women priests and a more inclusive Church. Since the 11th century, only men have been allowed to be ordained as priests and perform the sacraments.

I believe that if the Lord did not approve of what these women are doing, that their fate would be that of Nadab and his brother Abihu.

The universe is created in an order, and so was humanity created. There is beauty in creation not confusion. From the Levitical to the Order of Melchizedek and the Priesthood of Christ himself, the authority of rendering sacrifice which is the function of a Priest is a calling drawn from the ranks of men only. Same applies to the calling of child bearing. It is a calling drawn from the ranks of women only. God is not the author of confusion. Humans have done enough harm to order of creation already. Let's stop abusing what we didn't create.

A former colleague of mine left the Anglican Church because of the introduction of women priests. I wonder how people like her will cope if the Roman Catholic Church does the same. Unfortunately, women, such as the feminists at the end of the video, seem to think that all Roman Catholic women support them, and all Roman Catholic men are against them. This is far from the case, and they do their cause no good by trying to make it a women v. men issue. As a deist, I find the arguments on both sides to be fatuous. Female clergy in many religions do excellent work, though I am certain that there are women who abuse their position, just as male clergy do. However, these arguments for and against women as members of the clergy show that religion is a construct by humans. It confirms my chosen route. I shall continue to follow a direct path without others deciding upon my spirituality. No clergy, chosen by humans, is necessary for me. However, for those who find the clergy necessary, I think that agreement will never be possible. There will always be supporters of women, and there will always be those for whom women priests will always be anathema.
