It's Private or you can pay 8 bucks and take public transportation (8 bucks for the entire day). I don’t know why people hate public transportation. Our public transportation is trash but it does enough. You can cover a lot taking the bus and train vs being stuck in traffic with a car.

Trust me, being a Californian, you're missing nothing with LA. Unless you like congested traffic, horrible smog, superficial & rude uptight people without a sense of humor, sports teams and fans who are the epitome of arrogance, overpriced food & beverages, limited tourist attractions & gushing over folks in the entertainment industry, you will be bored with LA. The only worthwhile place to go in LA is Universal Studios...and even part of that location is situated in another city.

@@liammiddleton3064 I was in LA on Monday (just went to Universal Studios and walked around some places while I waited for my new flight to depart. The morning flight was canceled so I had many hours to spare) and twisted my foot/ankle....on top of that, I lost my wallet. I could not believe how rude the people were down there. Three places literally refused to let me sit down or offer any kind of break. Just cruel. There's a reason why I've loathed that city for many years. You are also correct on the homeless issue. My aunt died homeless years ago & their city leadership is doing a piss poor job addressing the issue.

Here's a fun bonus adventure for ya, wander a small studio lot Raleigh Studios for free. It's one of Hollywoods oldest studios. It's directly across the street (Melrose) from Paramount. You'll enter/sign in at the Raleigh gate on Bronson and just tell them you're going to their cafe. You'll stroll down their back lot to access the cafe. Have a coffee, breakfast or lunch, perhaps after taking a tour of Paramount studios.

@@Red-pt6rs It depends. Food is cheaper but also fresher in LA than NYC. Rent is more expensive in NYC metro than LA metro, but if you are looking to buy a house, its more expensive in LA metro than NYC metro. In fact LA has the 2nd most expensive homes for purchase in the continental U.S. after the San Francisco Bay Area. Also if you purchase and maintain a car in LA that's a big added expense many New Yorkers don't have.

Great list. Just want to mention that you can see free concerts at the Hollywood Bowl during their practice days in summer, this past year that was Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9 a.m. to noon. The bowl has a list of practices you can enjoy for free and even bring a picnic lunch. I would also mention the best free attraction in LA, the Nethercutt Museum in Sylmar, the greatest auto museum in the U.S. Another cool experience is to catch movie night at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery, way more fun than it sounds. Another totally amazing place not expected in LA is the Self Realization Fellowship Lake Shrine, which is a natural wonder and you can visit ashes of Mahatma Gandhi at the large shrine, a peaceful and serene place that celebrates both the natural and spiritual realms.

I've lived here my whole life and I guess you can say as a native, I'm never really phased that we have these famous locations nearby. I can honestly say I often forget or even unaware of some of them. But still its always fun to check em out. There are many other little hidden gems that I know many tourists would love to visit...Like Walt Disney's Carousel in Griffith Park, the Old Abandoned L.A. Zoo,...many others in fact...

As a southern California native, and someone that lives in orange county, and loves to visit LA, I would highly recommend getting to know the public transportation system, which is awesome. Most of the places that you have recommended, are available, within walking distance of a metro station. On the weekend, you can take Metrolink and metro for $10. I believe you need to take metro link to get the $10 cost, which also includes the buses of Los Angeles.

If you are looking for good tacos definitely go to "El Mercadito", you'll find great micheladas and at a good price,on the weekends you have live mariachi and sometimes karaoke too! This is located in East LA, near Boyle Heights. Well that's just one place I would recommend out of a lot more depending what you are looking for

There are a lot of good Mexican restaurants that also do ceviches, seafood cocktails, tortas, barbacoa, birrias, etc., but many are often in the suburbs north, east, and south of LA County, not necessarily in central LA or the Westside where Central American populations are more common--and the areas tourists visit most as shown in the video.
