I can totally understand the everything you’re saying, but to have the actual motivation to balance a physically taxing sport and a mentally taxing job… I could never 😅 Hats off to you! So much respect for your discipline and even stamina!!!

I totally think that communicating and advocating for yourself is SOOOOOOO important. I know people in consulting who get their time abused because they don’t simply set boundaries.

Love the reframing of the 4 quadrants and the actions that went along with it! Also, I totally agree with you that there should be one more thing other than your job/career in quadrant one. It really does make me feel like a more whole human who is living life rather than just existing.

Agreed! I think I'm so much more fulfilled not just pigeon hole-ing myself into an identity of a corporate employee.

Your commitment and motivation to pursue your outside of work passions is inspirational!! A few months ago I also watched a video I think on the CNBC make it channel (?) about a guy working a full time corporate job while doing olympic training and your video reminded me of it

My job tells us to use our own time to take the continuing education classes needed to maintain the license they require. I'd like to see their faces if I told them I wanted to adjust my schedule to practice ice skating.
