When I was a kid my dad told me that handmade rugs are made with intentionally made mistakes. Otherwise people thought the were made on a mashine. That knowlegde really helps me with crafting. .... and everything else. 😉

Hey Cathy....when you first showed Tim's stamp set, I literally panicked. Yep, my heart sped up as I immediately thought, 'where in the heck would I go with that'! There is nothing more educational than watching a master do his work, and that's Tim; however, as you say, his style, grunge, browns, distressed look is not my style but trust me, I hold him in the highest respect! I have ALWAYS respected all forms or style of art and I think it's so important to create what makes 'us' happy. I am so impressed that you took a style of stamp and turned it into 'you' Cathy and that's what I learned from watching this. Thanks again, dear!

Thanks so much! Last year was the first time I ever created with one of Tim's stamp sets and I was so worried I was not going to jibe with his style. I surprised myself, had SO much fun and so this year, I was really looking forward to seeing what he released. I love the card and the one on my blog, too!

Nancy, I thought that too. Had I seen this video before it sold out , which would have been pretty much impossible with how fast they sold, but I might have bought the stamp. One thing that I have learned from you is, don’t quit until you are completely satisfied. Sometimes my cards aren’t so great because I don’t think things through and commit too soon. I love watching you and your process.

I find preparing a card with the receiver in mind, brings me the most joy. I individualize most birthday, get well and sympathy cards. Christmas is mass produced, but I try to use only techniques I really enjoy. This is all part of my attempt at living in the moment and finding small joys. Thanks for a happy video!

This is so cute! One of the things I love about Tim's products, is their versatility. They may start with a base of his own style, but they quickly become anyone else's with some ink or paper or whatever. And as much as I love seeing him create, I just adore watching and listening to his excitement when he sees other's creations. I so love the way you talk while you are crafting. It is like you have a best friend next to you and you are sharing and asking each other questions. "How does this look. Shall I put it here?" When you start out it is just like most of us out here. "Here's the stamp. Now what?" So genuine and fun.

I've never been a Tim Holtz fan but after watching how you colored the stamp and showed how it's done, I just may be more apt to give his stamps a try. Thank you! What a really cute care.

I have a colourless blender tip. If you place a scrap piece of card underneath it helps to absorb excess colour. It helps avoid bleeding the area next to it because you are giving the ink somewhere to go. You can see it push the ink through to the other card underneath. Very helpful for bigger mistakes! I love CeeCee too, she is awesome!

Love this card and so cat! I had a cat that loved the tinsel garland on the tree and one morning I woke up and heard him running up and down the hallway. Got up to see him with garland streaming out behind him and the tree on it’s side. Tried it 2 years and just had to give up on the garland as it fascinated him!
